The Parish of Bremhill comprises four villages: Bremhill, Foxham, East Tytherton and Tytherton Lucas and several hamlets including Charlcutt, Spirthill, Stanley Lane, Stanley, Avon, and Bremhill Wick. Altogether there are over 940 residents living in 378 properties. The Parish is predominantly rural comprising 7,440 acres of rich pasture and arable land.
The Parish is situated two miles north west of Calne and four miles east of Chippenham.
In addition to farming we have a growing number of residents who work from home and a number who are successfully running their own businesses. There are reputed to be in excess of 200 horses kept in Bremhill Parish for pleasure and competition purposes. Part of Maud Heath Causeway, the oldest maintained pathway in Europe, runs through the Parish up to Monument Hill where the views are breathtaking. Very popular with walkers and cyclists, and with two excellent village pubs and several farm based B&Bs, there is no shortage of quality accommodation for visitors.
